I look with sad eyes
into an overcast sky
shivering in its grey

How lonely
the seagull looks
in his solitary flight
above the boiling sea
The water's illusive grip
on the shores
is like my love
for you
I sink with the waves
into the ocean's
dark mysteries...
Pablo Neruda was a Chilean poet and politician. His real name was Neftalí Ricardo Reyes Basoalto. Neruda wrote in a variety of styles such as the erotically charged love poems 'Twenty Poems of Love and a song of Despair'
