I am here
but for a time
figures drowning
into eternity
sometimes the sea
cold as ebony
dissipates
like a leper
trying to reclaim
his arms and legs
cut off
from the past
I let go of each limb
spirit taking body
nearer
dropping into a pool
and blood
flowing like water
remembering life
with the passage of time...
